BASIS National ICT Awards
BASIS National ICT Awards is an annual program of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) and organizing since 2017. The objective of the BASIS National ICT Awards is to provide recognition to outstanding achievements of individuals, students, entrepreneurs, SMEs and organizations. For the 4th time, BASIS National ICT Awards 2020 kicked off, organized by BASIS and powered by IPDC Finance Limited.
World Summit Awards (WSA)
The World Summit Awards (WSA) is an awards system, selecting and promoting local digital innovation to improve society. Combing an ongoing series of international events with a global network of experts, mentors, start-ups, social entrepreneurs, jurors, speakers, government leaders, academia and civil society, WSA was initiated in 2003 in the framework of the United Nations’ World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), mandated by the WSIS Plan of Action, and cooperates with UNESCO and UNIDO., and is organized by the International Center for New Media (ICNM), Salzburg, Austria.
Bangladesh Business Innovation Award
The Bangladesh Innovation Award has been conceived to recognize the community of innovators – be it entrepreneurs, start-ups, or established organizations – and their groundbreaking. The accolade also aims to inculcate and inspire an innovative and creative mindset within local industries to take Bangladesh forward.
r-ventures
“r-ventures” is the flagship digital entrepreneurship platform initiated by Robi Axiata Limited (“Robi”), the leading digital service provider of the country, where new digital ideas are nurtured, incubated and funded. r-ventures first batch was for only Robi’s internal employees. In 2019, Robi is opening its doors for all eligible participants within the country. The program is being launched nationwide where any individual or a group of individuals with a viable digital business idea can submit their ideas to this platform to make an attempt at converting their dream into reality.

It was launched on April 13, 2011 through a group on Facebook to encourage and inspire everyone in self-employment. … Currently, in addition to online sharing and mentoring, seminars, trainings and workshops are organized by the group.
ISO 27001: 2013
ISO/IEC 27001:2013 specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system within the context of the organization. It also includes requirements for the assessment and treatment of information security risks tailored to the needs of the organization. The requirements set out in ISO/IEC 27001:2013 are generic and are intended to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, size or nature.

Robi Axiata, the 2nd largest mobile network operator in Bangladesh currently owned by two major stakeholders being Axiata and Bharti Airtel. In this company, Axiata of Malaysia holds a major controlling stake of 61.82%, Bharti Airtel of India holds 28.18%, and remaining 10% stake is hold by investors in DSE and CSE. Robi first commenced operation in 1997 as Telekom Malaysia International (Bangladesh) with the brand name ‘AKTEL’. In 2010 the company was re-branded to ‘Robi’ and the company changed its name to Robi Axiata Limited. Robi Axiata has spectrum on GSM 900, 1800 and 2100 MHz bands.

The National Board of Revenue is the central authority for tax administration in Bangladesh. It is under the Internal Resource Division of Ministry of Finance. NBR is the authority for tax policies and tax laws in Bangladesh.
